Letter #1-2010

Welcome to 2010!
It sometimes seems like something out of George Orwell
that we can be so far into the 21st century.
The Riegler family continues to grow
along with The Cheese Lady business.
We, John and I, thank all of you for making our venture successful.
You know we cannot do it alone, we need you!

During 2010 we will be working on the long-talked-about
apartment in the back of the store.  I am sending you a couple
of pictures so that you can watch our progress.

Elle and William had a great Christmas season.  The newlyweds came into town
and the whole family was together.  In our busy season, the holidays are
slightly crazy so we must enjoy the moments.

And so what will be new in 2010?
I had a group of Red-Hatters in one evening this week and I served cheese.
Cheese as a dessert is delicious.
The first plate included two small wedges of a goat cream cheese
and on one of the wedges I had put a little jam .
And served it with a ginger thin cookie.  mmm
The second plate had two wedges of Manchego served with a little
pear conserve and some Marcona almonds.
And the third was a Blue Stilton with honey.
Consider cheese as your dessert course.  It is easy and delicious.
And small portions are oh, so satisfying.

Be well. Be careful.
See you soon
Kathleen
